Autism iHelp – Sorting 1.3.0

Autism iHelp is a vocabulary development tool created through a collaboration between parents of a child with Autism and a qualified speech-language pathologist. The program was designed in response to the need for targeted language intervention resources that address the specific strengths and challenges faced by children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, particularly in expressive vocabulary.

The Autism iHelp - Sorting activity presents an engaging and interactive experience in which learners are prompted to drag and drop items into correctly labeled category boxes. This exercise provides an opportunity for children to generalize previously learned vocabulary using real-life photographic images, while also fostering skills in categorization, divided attention, and visual processing.

Furthermore, the application includes a progress tracking feature that generates reports based on an average of the most recent three performances for each activity, allowing caregivers to monitor developmental gains over time.
